John Kurtz Sherman was a music and drama critic in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was born in Sioux City, Iowa in 1898 and attended the University of Minnesota for a short period of time. John Sherman began his career with the Minneapolis Star in 1925 and continued with the paper as critic and books and arts editor until his death on April 19, 1969.
